Dermal Fillers

Non-surgical face treatments are in high demand with one of the most popular being dermal fillers. Dermal fillers are a naturally occurring hyaluronic acid (HA) gel which helps to restore your HA loss.

What are dermal fillers used for?
Injected just underneath the skin, dermal fillers are used to treat fine lines, scars, dents, folds and wrinkles. They can also be used to help refine the contours of your face such as giving you more defined cheekbones.

Do dermal fillers help you look younger?
The natural substance produced by your body to help keep your skin young and healthy looking is called Hyaluronic Acid (HA). It is found in virtually every cell in your body with almost half of your body’s entire HA located in your skin tissue. It is a naturally hydrating substance and its sponge-like quality helps maintain your skin’s vitality and youthfulness as it provides it with much needed moisture and absorbs up to 1000 times its weight in water.

As we grow older the amount of HA our body produces diminishes causing our skin to dry out and wrinkles and lines to appear. As well as ageing, the amount of sunlight we are exposed to can also reduce our HA levels. This can cause folds and wrinkles on your face due to a lack of skin volume and structure. Non-surgical face treatments such as dermal fillers, can help address your HA loss restoring volume and a youthful appearance.(Click Here to Contact Us)

This is a little more uncomfortable than having “Wrinkle reduction treatment”. However, we can make it more comfortable by applying topical anaesthetic before the procedure as well as dental blocks when treating the mouth and lips.

Can I return to my normal activities after the treatment?
Dermal fillers can give a temporary swelling and redness but this can easily be covered with make-up and most clients are happy to continue with their normal activities. With lip enhancements there may be a little more swelling and some clients like to wait for this to resolve before they go about their normal activities.
